THE WRD OUTREACH
The WRD Outreach brings accessible arts education to public schools and community spaces, creating opportunities for students to learn, move, express, and feel seen through creative programming. Our approach blends movement, storytelling, and physical education with elements of STEAM learning, helping students build critical thinking, collaboration, body awareness, and creativity across multiple disciplines.
In partnership with the HOUR Children Organization in Queens, THE WRD CREATIVE led an eight-week hip-hop residency for children whose parents are incarcerated. The program culminated in a joyful showcase where students shared their movement, confidence, and creativity. It was a powerful experience that highlighted their growth and created a space where each child felt supported, expressive, and celebrated.
THE WRD CREATIVE partnered with Democracy Prep Harlem High School for a dynamic residency focused on movement, expression, and confidence-building. Students explored hip-hop and contemporary foundations while developing discipline, teamwork, and creativity. The energy, engagement, and growth throughout the program made this residency a meaningful highlight for our team and the students alike.
